TwoCan: Who We Are
We are Lauren and Anna, two experienced, London-based stage managers who work in a job-sharing partnership. For the past year we have successfully shared the Company Stage Manager role at The Almeida Theatre in Islington. We set up Twocan to celebrate how great it is working in a job-sharing partnership and challenge antiquated viewpoints on job-sharing that exist in the theatre industry.
Testimonials from our work colleagues and employers are helping to debunk the myth that employing two people in a job-share is a risk or detrimental to a production. We are passionate about supporting other people who want to job-share. We are keen to win over employers and prove that this way of working can be highly beneficial not only to the people in the partnership but to the whole team. We want to use Twocan to promote job-sharing in stage management and backstage - and assist people who would like more information on good practice.
